I understand that Task Coaches connects homeowners with independent professionals (such as electricians or handymen) who may provide instructional guidance while a home repair or maintenance task is performed.

I understand that:

• The professional is not an employee of Task Coaches
• Task Coaches does not perform home repair work
• Any instruction is provided by the professional, not the platform

2. Voluntary Participation

I understand that I may:

• Observe the work
• Assist with certain steps
• Ask questions during the session

My participation is voluntary, and I may stop participating at any time.

3. Risks of Home Repair Activities

I understand that home repair and maintenance activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to:

• Electrical shock
• Cuts or burns
• Water damage
• Property damage
• Personal injury

I acknowledge that these risks exist even when safety precautions are followed.

4. Assumption of Risk

By booking a session, I knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks related to my participation in the activity, including risks that may result from:

• My own actions or decisions
• Following instructions provided during the session
• Conditions within my home

   

5. Following Instructions & Safety Rules

I agree to:

• Follow the professional’s safety instructions
• Use tools and materials as directed
• Stop participating if asked to do so

I understand that failure to follow instructions increases risk

6. Electrical, Plumbing & Code Acknowledgment

I understand that:

• Some tasks may be regulated by local or state building codes
• Some tasks may require permits or inspections
• I am responsible for determining and obtaining any required permits

I understand that instructional guidance does not replace professional inspections or code compliance requirements.

7. Property Ownership & Permission

I confirm that:

• I am the homeowner or
• I have permission from the homeowner to perform the work

I understand that I am responsible for any consequences related to lack of permission.

 

8. Release of Liability (Platform)

To the fullest extent allowed by law, I agree to release and hold harmless:

• Task Coaches
• Its owners, employees, contractors, and affiliates

from any claims, damages, injuries, or losses arising from:

• My participation in the session
• The instructional nature of the service
• Work performed at my home

9. Independent Professional Responsibility

I understand that:

• The professional is responsible for their own actions
• The professional may carry their own insurance and licensing
• Any disputes regarding workmanship should be addressed directly with the professional

10. No Guarantees

I understand that:

• No guarantees are made regarding outcomes
• Learning results vary by individual
• I am responsible for future work I choose to perform on my own

11. Media & Documentation (Optional)

I understand that:

• Photos or notes may be taken for documentation or safety purposes
• No photos will be used publicly without my consent

12. Agreement & Consent

By booking a session, I confirm that:

• I have read this waiver
• I understand it
• I agree to its terms

I acknowledge that I am giving up certain legal rights, including the right to sue Task Coaches for claims arising from my participation.
